Hi every magorian, you might notice that there is no update for quite some time after releasing game Dodge Fever. You might wonder where and what are we ( Mago Team ) is doing during this period. :) 

We as Mago Team have never stop our steps to improve and grow Mago here. There are a lot of issues happened in this few months. Our team are busy with their life, work and family but we are always try our best to contribute to Mago. 

Here is the list of what we have done and we plan to do in the coming few months.

1) We are planning to move our domain to http://www.playmago.com which is more recognizable internationally. :) 

2) We are redesigning our site. Yes. That is the 3rd version of our site layout. As usual, we are looking forward to see a refreshing, eye catchy web design in Mago that keep you feel safe, comfortable and refreshing. New site design is planned to release as we transfered to new domain.

3) We are working on gift/prize in Mago. Yes. We are planning to come out  our Mago merchandise for the 1st time at Mago. We are going to print Mago T-Shirts designed by our designers and release it for free to bid.

4) And lastly, we are working on new game. We will release it once we have complete it.

That's all a little compilation about us in the recent months. We hope to see you all again soon with our merchandise and new games. 

Salute! A New Year has come with a lot of new goals and plans ahead. So let’s first say a little wish for all of us here in Mago. After what seems to be a century, the most awaited section to be resurrected in Mago has finally had its days. Yes, Mago citizens, we’re talking about the PRIZES. It hurts to receive quite a lot of support from you all without having anything on our side to show our gratitude. That’s why we’ve tried our best to give our lovely magoers a little surprise this coming Christmas and New Year with the two HANDMADE PHONE HANGERS for prize bidding.

The prizes may not seem as luxurious as our old days’, but the phone hangers are two in a million as they’re 100% handmade by the Mago Team (We’ve used our own bones and skin to make them – only our love for you all is to blame for this overdone sacrifice – alright, just kidding). That’s enough for the trivia, you can head to the prizes section and check out the prizes now.

Those who are not familiar with the prize bidding activities here may have a look at the Tutorial section – How to win our prizes  and Q6 in FAQ section. The main idea is simply that who offers to pay most bid golds will win the prize by the end date. Have fun playing and bidding! We’re out to look for more prizes for you all now ;)

For better observation and convenience, we’ve currently included a new sub section in players’ profile, the Mago World Rank, which is based on each player’s position on the Ladder.

This sub section contains the rank you’re at and the (super-cute) big icon representative of that rank. The icons have also been included in the Ladder page (for eye-satisfaction effect =D). It’s worth checking out though, for the sake of their cuteness. 

We have completed an update to challenge module which fixed a bunch of bugs and problems in challenge mode.

First of all, we have fixed an issue in initializing a new challenge due to an pending challenge is detected when you aren't see any related challenge in your user challenge page. This fix includes refunding bid golds when a challenge is confirmed/accepted but expired after the lifetime of the challenge.

Here are the rules how the system terminate floating challenges:

1. A challenge is requested but is not accepted/confirmed by the opponent after * 6 days. No winner is declared in this challenge and golds are refunded to challenger.
2. A challenge is accepted/confirmed by opponent and neither of the player complete and submit the score within *3 days after confirmation. No winner is declared in this challenge and golds are refunded to challenger.
3. A challenge is accepted/confirmed by opponent and one of the player has submitted the score within *3 days after confirmation. Player that submitted score win the challenge and grab the golds.

* the lifetime of "Waiting" challenge is 6 days where as lifetime of "Accepted" challenge is 3 days after confirmation date. The days are subject to change in the future where necessary.

As this update clean up all the "sleeping" challenge that is floating in the system, you might receive a few notifications and emails indicating the result of your previous challenges that is expired. This is will refund all the golds to you if the challenge is cancelled by the system.

We will try our best to make the challenge feature as perfect as possible. I hope this update fixed all the challenge related problems that you might have encountered.

Hello, our dear magoers. It’s been months since our Challenge feature was introduced and looks like the challenging mood is welcomed by quite some of our very enthusiastic players. In order for all of us to keep track of the overall challenge progress in Mago, a new section LADDER has been added to our site. (You can find it at the top of the page).

This Ladder shows the challenge progress of all mago players, including the number of wins, losses, exp. points, level and most importantly the challenge rank in Mago of every player, based on our exp. We hope that with this ladder, you all can have a close look at your own as well as others’ progress (which means you’ll know clearly who and how many players to knock down :D).

So, let’s gear up and climb to the top of the ladder, there may be some pleasant surprises later on for top climbers!

Cheeeers to our beloved mago-ers! We’re more than happy to finally be able to bring some Wrigley-ish fresh air into our long-time-no-update site. So, here comes our new feature called “Challenge”. As the name itself suggests, you can now challenge other players into a one on one competition. AND, more importantly for those gold lovers out there, you can make a bet of up to 200 bid golds  with each challenge! Right, go ahead and show people what you got! (But don’t run to our little wizard and cry for golds when you’re broke – he’s not trained in gold-making yet, as well as babysitting)

In case you haven’t self-explored the Challenge feature yet, or there’s something you might be missing, here’s an overview of this feature. 

Overview

1. To access the challenge page, click the Challenge menu, or the Challenge button in each game

2. Fill in the required information, including the player’s name, the game and the number of golds you bet. And “submit”.

3. In the Active Challenges page, click “Challenge” to start playing. 

4. The player you challenge has 3 days to confirm the challenge, either to accept or reject it. If there’s no confirmation from the player after 3 days, the challenge will be canceled and the golds you bet will return to their owner.

Attention: 

- You will be notified in your mago profile and via email when you get challenged and when the result of the challenge comes out. So spare some minutes to check if mago emails are sorted as junk mails in your mailbox or not; if that’s the case, please mark it as safe and not junk – we can guarantee this. 

- You will be considered lose if the challenge has been confirmed and accepted but you don’t play within 3 days. If you play but leave the game before the score is submitted you will get 0 for the challenge.

Precaution: please try NOT to:
- Keep challenging other players after they try to reject the challenge. Being rejected is a part of life, bear with it. 

- Abuse multiple accounts for your own glory, either to hoard golds or to get a seat in the hall of fame. 

- Commit any other creatively evil acts that might disturb other people. 
We’ll take proper action when we find out such abuses. (So if you’re daring enough to do it, make sure we won’t find out)

As this feature is still in the Beta phase, there may be some shortcomings, so please inform us if you incur any bugs or problems concerning the Challenge; or if you have any ideas to improve this feature, you’ll be more than welcome to drop a line or two here :)

We are in the middle of a new game development and I would like to share with you all the development progress in the current stage. We have new creature which looks like a cat, and this cat is the main character in our new game. She can run, jump and fall as a ordinary cat will do.

We do not have a name with her yet, therefore we are open to any name suggested from you as well as the game name itself. Please suggest a name for the cat and for the game if you can have any idea to share with us.

We will update this post regularly to update the development progress. We hope our players can get involve into our game development slowly.

We have a great feature to share today. It is a Friend Invite function that has been scheduled since our site revamped.

What is so interesting with this new added feature? As its name might suggest, it is a friend invitation to join us at Mago. But it does provide some extra benefits not to you as an inviter but to your friend as well. You will be given 100 bid golds for each successful invitation from your friends.

Besides that, the registration process is simplified for your friend as well. They will only need to enter their user name and password to register with us and start playing our games here. Email validation is wavied. 

How to start inviting your friends?  It is easy, you'll notice the friend invite function link in your player profile page as shown in the screen below:

Click on it and start entering your friend's email to join the joy and fun with us here! Yes. That's all you need to invite your friend and earn free bid golds. Your friend will only need to click the link on your invitation email  then fill in user name and password to register. That's all the process. Simple, huh? :)

I hope the explanation here is clear enough. :) If you are having any doubts or problem with this feature. State it here and we will resolve for you.

We have just updated our comment section on every game page with AJAX forms. AJAX form will submit your comment asynchronously without reloading the page you are viewing. The new AJAX form will enchance the user friendlines and experience when you try to add a new comment and it helps us to minimized the loads on the server.

Thank you jQuery, a javascript library that has minimize the tricky and lengthy workload on javascript we need to accomplish this task. JQuery has made our Javascript development easier and interesting. Not to forget a jQuery plugin that we have used "jQuery Form Plugin" to turn our HTML form into AJAX form with the minimum of code changes.

There are 2 type of special block that is surrounded with different color of aura. They will have some special effects once you clear them off. These special blocks is borned when you cleared a line of 4 or more blocks vertically and horizontally.

Try to create high chain combo where the score you gained is multiply with the chain combo you made. This is the way you can get better score in thsi game.

Hi everyone here, today we have an update on our site where we opened a new section for downloads.

You may find some interesting stuffs there although there are only some  Mago Wallpapers inside at the meantime. We will update the section often as we created something that we can share with our players.

If you like our wallpapers and you are using it now, feel free to drop us some words here about the wallpapers. You also can request us to create a new dimension of the wallpapers if you can't find a good size that match your monitor screen resolution. 

Okay, enough for words now. Head on to our Downloads section.

We are planning to change our business model where we plan to give cash vouchers worth RM1000 in our prize section in the future. You are going to bid for the cash vouchers by using our Bid Golds   as usual. Here is our initial figure that we have worked out:

1. 1st Prize: RM500 cash voucher
2. 2nd Prize: RM300 cash voucher
3. 3rd Prize: RM200 cash voucher
4. 10 consolations prize of RM20 cash voucher

However, you will be charged  for RM1 to activate your account each month by using SMS. You will have unlimited of plays after you activated your account for the particular month.  

We will evaluate this model before we really launch it. Meanwhile we would like to gather any comments about this new model in Mago. Please tell me us whether you are on the yes or no side.

I wonder how many people here are coming with us along the way since the first day we lauch our site back to June 2007. For those we are not with since that period, you might missed out our very first 2 games which is Flip and Match and Blackhole.

We have removed some feature of the game and publish here again to let you try for free. The game itself is written with Actionscript 2.0 and is the first experimental game that we produced. Although it might contains some bugs yet but it should serve the purpose for trying. 

Although it is the first version of Flip and Match but it has some extra features such as Dragon Fireball, Ice Needle effects that isn't found in current version of Flip and Match Reloaded. 

We will put our old version of Blackhole soon for you to try as well.

It has been quite a long time we did not update any new games. We aren't take any break and we are pleased to announce that we have 2 new games in development now. Hopefully it is playable by the end of this month.

Although we can't confirm the titles yet but it is not far from now. We have a puzzle type game and a mouse action type game in the development process. Stay tune at Mago.

We have just released a new game Flip and Match Reloaded which is a remake of our previous game Flip and Match few months ago. We have converted the game from Actionscript 2.0 to Actionscript 3.0 and integrated the game into our Mago Game Framework.

Game Nature

This is a Memory Traning game which require you to complete the game puzzle by fliping the cards and match them into a pair within time given. The lesser number of guess you try the more score you can get while in contrast you can get more score if you complete the game with shorter time period.

After 2 months of hard work we are proud to announce Mago Entertainment is current in the 2nd stage of our schedule. We know we are not perfect and we are trying to get better from time to time.

We have gathered some valuable comments and suggestions from our players in Mago. Your comments helps us to serve you better. We did some improvements into our portal with added features and enchanced previous modules to create a more user friendly, fair, and entertaining environment in Mago.

Here are some quick notes about what are the improvements and enchancemend we made:

1. Enchanced our portal backend and frontend application codebase. Approximately 90% of our previous code base has been rewrote to provide a more user friendly, secure, interactive gaming environment.
2. Added Bidding module. We have replaced our previous competition-to-prize mechanism with a new bidding-to-prize mechanism. We developed a bidding engine for our players to bid for prizes and we believe it would provide different excitement apart from our games.
3. Added Blog module keep our players and Mago Entertainment Development Team closely connected. Announcements and latest news will be delivered from here in the future so make sure you check this blog regularly.
4. Added Players module and make our portal even more transparent to each of our players. You can always check player's informations on each player profile page.
5. Enchanced User Account page which includes a lot of details that helps you to keep track your activities as well as other players at Mago
6. Simplified registration form. We decided to left out some unnecessary fields to keep the registration process as simple as possible.
7. Introduced terms Tokens and Bid Golds to minimize confusion between the points in Mago. Basically, Tokens are use to play our games while Bid Golds are use to bid for our prizes.
8. Games are free to play which means you are able to continue to play our games if you are running out of Tokens . However you are not allow to submit your highscore and you cannot collect Effort Bid Golds each time you play the game.

We think it is not enough for us to stop yet. Here are some of the extra features that will include in our future update:

1. Friend Module for you to create your friend list, add your friends and compete among your friends.
2. Player Contribute Games Module. We are aware that creativity and excellent programming skills that you might have where you would like to share your master pieces to others. We will provide an interface for you to upload your games and share it among our players in Mago.
3. Private Message Module to increase the interaction among our players in Mago
4. New Games are continue to be developed by our development team. We wish to produce at least a game each month in the future.
